Fundamentals of Real Estate Transactions RE140
This class is designed to give real estate professionals substantive insights into transactions. The course will focus on the process and particulars associated with transactions involving the purchase and sale, leasing, development, and financing of real property from a legal, functional, and negotiating perspective.
Topics: Contents and negotiation of letters of intent for purchase and lease transactions, purchase and sale contracts; due diligence; commercial financing transactions, leasing basics, and issues with respect to review of real estate ownership, titles and title insurance, surveys, zoning and permitting; and geotechnical/environmental considerations.
