Course Description

Real Estate and Facility Managers are a key part of the sustainability efforts within an organization, sometimes leading the company’s sustainability function. This comprehensive course is designed to provide the skills and tools to lead change management and sustainability initiatives that deliver triple bottom-line results across the spectrum of voluntary programs and compliance mandates. Starting with building level results and energy management cost savings, this class will demonstrate how today’s facility managers can identify and articulate the value proposition of sustainability efforts to advance their careers and relevance within the organization.

Topics include; Energy tracking, waste and recycling, carbon reporting, vendor agreements, SEC reporting, waste management, employee communications, change management, incentives, and “green” project management including financial metrics such as ROI, discounted payback period, and NPV.
