Students will develop an understanding of the key elements for commercial real estate investment and decision making. Participants will learn how to perform fundamental due diligence and detailed financial analysis for the acquisition, development, financing, operation and disposition of investment property. This course will provide a strong foundation in the use of financial calculators and analytical techniques used to estimate financial metrics commonly used in the real estate and finance industry including Debt Coverage Ratio, Present Value, Net Present Value and Internal Rate of Return.

- Access to a Hewlett Packard financial calculator required, model HP 10BII preferred. Commonly carried at office supply stores.
